Bike helmets
Bike helmets help absorb impact energy in a crash. Road helmets are light and well ventilated, mountain bike helmets extend lower at the back and usually have a visor, and full-face helmets add a chin bar for downhill riding. The helmet should sit level, with the retention system snug. Check that it is certified to EN 1078, the European standard for bicycle helmets, and replace it after any significant impact.
