Uvex

uvex sports is part of the uvex group, which Philipp M. Winter founded in 1926 in Fürth, Bavaria, where the group has its headquarters. In 2025 the investment firm Warburg Pincus acquired a majority stake in the uvex group; the founding families Winter and Grau kept a minority share.

For winter sports it makes ski helmets and ski goggles, and for cycling it makes performance, mountain bike, city and children's bike helmets and sports eyewear; the range also includes equestrian helmets and gloves. The design team for its helmets and eyewear works at the headquarters in Fürth.
