Julbo is a French eyewear maker founded in 1888 in Morez, in the Jura, originally to produce protective glasses for the region's stonecutters. Its name is a contraction of Jules Baud, who later took over the firm. Julbo is based in Longchaumois in the Jura and was acquired by Peugeot Frères Industrie in 2022.
Its range covers sunglasses for mountaineering, hiking, trail running and cycling, including glacier glasses, plus ski goggles, ski and ski touring helmets, mountaineering and climbing helmets, and road, gravel and mountain bike helmets. Julbo makes prescription lenses in its own laboratory at Longchaumois.
