Alpina is a German maker of helmets and eyewear, founded in 1980 in Derching as a subsidiary of the uvex group. Alpina Sports GmbH is based in Sulzemoos, and within the uvex group the brand belongs to the sports division together with uvex sports and Hiplok. Warburg Pincus acquired a majority stake in the uvex group in 2025.
Its range includes bike helmets for enduro and mountain biking, gravel, touring and urban riding, ski helmets for all-mountain and freeride use, ski goggles, sports glasses including glacier glasses, and back protectors, with children's models in each category. According to the uvex group, part of the ALPINA range is made in Germany.
