Oakley is an American eyewear and sports equipment brand founded by Jim Jannard in 1975. It is headquartered in Foothill Ranch, California, and has belonged to Luxottica since 2007; Luxottica has been part of EssilorLuxottica since 2018.
For skiing and cycling, Oakley makes snow goggles, snow helmets such as the MOD series, road and mountain bike helmets such as the ARO and DRT series, and cycling clothing including jerseys, bib shorts and gloves. After the Luxottica acquisition, some of its sunglass frames and lenses began to be produced in China and Italy.
