Sweet Protection is a Norwegian maker of helmets, goggles and protective clothing. Its story began in Trysil, a village in the Østerdalen valley, where its founders first built skateboards; the company was officially founded in 2000. It is part of Active Brands, a Norwegian group with its office in Oslo.
The range covers ski and snowboard helmets, snow goggles and replacement lenses, road and mountain bike helmets, and mountain bike shorts, jackets and trousers, alongside whitewater helmets and back protectors. According to the brand, helmet production moved from Trysil to Italy after 2005.
