Touring boots
Touring boots combine a walk mode for climbing with a stiff ski mode for the descent. Check that the sole norm and pin inserts match your bindings. Consider the cuff's range of movement in walk mode for long ascents, the stiffness for the skiing you do, and weight. Fit matters as with any ski boot: many liners can be heat-moulded, and a bootfitter can adjust the shell.
