Millet is a French mountain equipment brand founded in 1921 by Marc and Hermance Millet, who began by making canvas bags in Saint-Fons, near Lyon, before moving the business to Annecy, where its teams are based. In 2021 Jean-Pierre Millet, a grandson of the founders, signed an agreement to buy the company back; it belongs to Millet Mountain Group.
The range includes waterproof shells, insulated jackets, fleece, trekking trousers, backpacks, sleeping bags and socks, together with hiking and mountaineering footwear, climbing shoes and chalk bags, and the Intense trail running line of shoes, jackets and vests. The brand states that all the down it uses is RDS-certified.
