Arc'teryx is a Canadian outdoor apparel and equipment company founded in 1989 by a group of Vancouver-based climbers. It began as Rock Solid, adopted the Arc'teryx name in 1991, and its first product was a climbing harness. The range covers hardshell, softshell and insulated jackets, fleece, base layers, hiking trousers and socks, hiking boots and shoes, trail running shoes, jackets and vests, and daypacks and multi-day packs, as well as climbing harnesses and chalk bags and clothing for skiing. Part of the range is made at ARC'One, the company's own factory in New Westminster near Vancouver.
