Metolius is an American climbing equipment maker based in Bend, Oregon, which has been building climbing gear since 1983. The company grew out of its founder's garage workshop, where he developed the Slider, a spring-loaded adjustable nut for the basalt cracks of central Oregon, and then the TCU, a camming device with a flexible cable stem. Metolius describes itself as climber-owned.
Its range includes cams and nuts for traditional climbing, carabiners and quickdraws, harnesses, ropes, chalk and chalk bags, crash pads, big-wall gear such as haul bags and portaledges, and hangboards, training boards and climbing holds. Metolius operates its own factory in Bend.
