Mad Rock

Mad Rock is an American climbing equipment brand founded in 2002 by Young Chu, a South Korean-born climber who had earlier worked as head designer for Five Ten, developing climbing shoe lasts. The family-owned company is based in Santa Fe Springs, California, where it also runs the Mad Rock HQ climbing shop.

Its range centres on climbing shoes in high- and low-volume fits, together with harnesses, carabiners and quickdraws, belay devices, chalk and chalk bags, and bouldering crash pads. Product listings give Taiwan as the place of manufacture for its carabiners and belay devices.
