Austrialpin is an Austrian maker of metal climbing and safety equipment, founded in 1996 when several family-run craft businesses in the Stubai valley joined together. AUSTRIALPIN GmbH is based in Fulpmes, Tyrol, where its production sites are located, and is owned by its founders Andreas and Bruno Hörtnagl.
Its mountain sports range includes carabiners and quickdraws, belay devices, via ferrata sets, climbing helmets, crampons, ice axes and ice tools, and chalk and chalk bags. The company also makes COBRA quick-release buckles for harnesses and load-bearing straps. Austrialpin states that nearly all of its products are made at its plants in Fulpmes.
