Rossignol is a French winter sports brand founded in 1907 by Abel Rossignol, a carpenter who made his first wooden skis in his workshop in Voiron, Isère. The Rossignol Group, which also includes Dynastar and Look, has its international headquarters in Saint-Jean-de-Moirans near Grenoble and has been majority-owned by Altor Equity Partners since 2013.
For ski touring it makes Escaper touring skis and climbing skins, alongside ski helmets and goggles, and it also sells trail running shoes. The group states that its alpine skis are made almost entirely in France and Spain and its alpine ski boots in Europe, while most of its clothing is made in Asia.
