Salomon is a French mountain sports brand founded in Annecy in 1947. It is headquartered in the Annecy area, where it moved into its Metz-Tessy head office in 1985, and has been owned by Amer Sports since 2005.
Its range includes trail running shoes such as the Speedcross and XA Pro, hiking shoes, running packs and flasks, Bonatti waterproof jackets, fleece midlayers, backpacks and walking poles; for winter it makes skis, ski boots, bindings, helmets and goggles. Amer Sports makes Salomon alpine bindings at its own factory in Oradea, Romania, which started production in 2025.
