Kohla

Kohla is an Austrian maker of mountain sports equipment, founded by Max Kohla in Tyrol in 1932. The business began as a Tyrolean sports shop and was taken over by the Span family from the Stubai Valley in 2003. The brand is run by IBEX Sportartikel GmbH, based in Mieders.

Its two main product groups are climbing skins for ski touring and splitboarding, and backpacks for alpine and ski touring use, hiking and children. Kohla also makes telescopic poles for hiking and ski touring, gaiters and Figl firn gliders. According to the company, most of its products are developed, tested and made in Tyrol.
