Inov-8, which trades as INOV8, was founded in 2003 in the English Lake District by Wayne Edy. The Japanese sportswear group Descente took a majority stake in 2015, and Edy later bought the company back. Its registered office is in Crook, County Durham, and its main trading address is in Staveley, Cumbria.
The range centres on trail and fell running shoes, with running vests, waterproof and windproof running jackets, Roclite hiking boots and shoes, and hiking jackets, trousers, socks and backpacks. The company also makes road running and gym shoes.
