Fjällräven is a Swedish outdoor clothing and equipment brand. Åke Nordin, born in Örnsköldsvik, founded it in his basement in 1960, and its first product was a backpack with an aluminium frame. It belongs to Fenix Outdoor International, a group based in Zug, Switzerland, that also owns Hanwag, Royal Robbins and Tierra.
Its range covers trekking backpacks including the Kånken and Kajka, tents, sleeping bags, shell and down jackets, fleece, base layers and trekking trousers, plus the Hoja collection of bikepacking bags and cycling clothing. Its G-1000 fabric, a polyester and cotton blend, can be waterproofed with the brand's Greenland Wax.
