Darn Tough is an American sock brand made by Cabot Hosiery Mills, a family-owned knitting mill in Northfield, Vermont. Marc Cabot founded the mill in 1978, and the Darn Tough brand followed in 2004. The company is owned by the Cabot family and led by Marc's son, Ric Cabot.
The range consists of merino wool socks for hiking, running, skiing and snowboarding, along with socks for work and everyday wear. Design, knitting, finishing and packaging all take place at the company's mills in Northfield and Waterbury, Vermont, while the yarns are sourced from several countries.
