Zéfal
France · Founded 1880
Zéfal is a French maker of bicycle accessories based in Jargeau, in the Loiret department. The company traces its origins to 1880, when Etienne Sclaverand, inventor of the Presta valve, set up a metal-turning business in Paris; the Zéfal name first appeared on a duralumin pump in 1934. The family business is run by brothers Matthieu and Aurélien Brunet, the fifth generation to lead it.
For cycling and bikepacking, the range includes the Z Adventure bags for handlebar, frame, fork and saddle, Z Traveler panniers and rack bags, front and rear bike lights, pumps, bottles and cages, mudguards and maintenance products. According to Zéfal, the majority of its accessories are manufactured at its factory in Jargeau.
