Völkl is a German ski brand from Straubing in Bavaria, where Georg Völkl began producing skis in 1923 in the business started by his father Franz. Since 2017 the ski brand has been part of Elevate Outdoor Collective, which also owns Marker, Dalbello and K2.
For ski touring it makes the Rise touring skis and matching climbing skins, along with adjustable Touristick poles; the rest of the range covers freeride, all-mountain, freestyle and race skis. Most Völkl skis are made at its factory in Straubing, and the rest at an Elevate factory in China.
