Rab

Rab is a British mountain clothing and equipment brand that began in 1981, when Rab Carrington made his first sleeping bags in the attic of a terraced house in Sheffield. Carrington retired in 2003 and handed ownership to Equip Outdoor Technologies, which also owns Lowe Alpine and has its head office in Somercotes, Alfreton, in Derbyshire.

Its range covers waterproof, insulated and fleece jackets, base layers, trousers, running jackets and hydration vests, backpacks, sleeping bags and sleeping mats. Rab hand-fills all of its sleeping bags and makes its expedition suits at its own site in the UK; the rest of its manufacturing takes place with partners in Asia.
