Osprey is an American backpack maker founded by Mike Pfotenhauer in Santa Cruz, California, in 1974. It is headquartered in Cortez, Colorado, and has been owned by Helen of Troy since 2021. Osprey Europe was set up in the UK in 2003 to supply the European market.

Its range includes hiking and backpacking packs from daypacks to expedition sizes, such as the Talon, Atmos AG and Exos, as well as running vests, cycling hydration packs, ski and climbing packs, hydration reservoirs and travel bags. Osprey moved its pack production to Vietnam in 2002.
