Hilleberg is a Swedish tent maker founded in 1971 by Bo Hilleberg, a professional forester; his wife Renate took charge of the sewing while Bo handled design and sales. Their daughter Petra Hilleberg is CEO of the Hilleberg Group. Hilleberg AB is based in Frösön, Sweden, and a US subsidiary was founded in 2000.
Its range consists of tents for all-season and snow-free use, grouped into Black, Red, Yellow and Blue Label models by intended use, weight and group size, plus tarps, mesh shelters, wind sacks, footprints and tent accessories. Manufacturing takes place in Estonia, where Hilleberg opened its own factory in 1997, and with other European subcontractors.
