Helinox
South Korea · Founded 2009
Helinox is a South Korean maker of portable outdoor furniture, founded in 2009 by Jake Lah and his son Young Lah. Jake Lah had earlier founded DAC, a maker of aluminium tent poles, and Helinox grew out of that engineering work. Helinox Inc. is based in Incheon; its European web shop is run by Helinox Europe in Amsterdam.
The range covers folding camp chairs, stools and benches, tables and cots, together with trekking poles, tents and TERG bags. According to a manufacturer profile by the retailer Transa, the aluminium poles are made in South Korea, while the fabrics are produced and sewn in Vietnam.
