Trangia is a Swedish maker of outdoor cooking equipment, started in 1925 by Fritjof Svensson and his son-in-law John E Jonsson. The company, Trangia AB, has its head office and factory in Trångsviken, a village in Jämtland in northern Sweden.
Its range is built around the Trangia storm cooker, a cooking system with burner, pots and windshield whose first prototype appeared in 1951, together with spirit, gel and gas burners, the Nest series of plates, bowls and mugs, mess tins, pots, frying pans and kettles. Trangia products are made at the company's factory in Trångsviken.
