Suunto is a Finnish company whose history began with a liquid-filled compass designed by surveyor Tuomas Vohlonen, which went into mass production in 1936. It is headquartered in Vantaa, Finland, and the Chinese technology company Liesheng acquired it from Amer Sports in 2022.
Suunto makes GPS sports watches for running, trail running, hiking, cycling and other outdoor sports, as well as compasses, dive computers and headphones. According to the brand, the Suunto Vertical watch is made in Suunto's own factory in Finland.
